Editor,
The Ronan Post Office thanks our postal customers and community for giving to the letter carriers' annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ food drive on Saturday, May 14.
Ronan area postal customers generously donated 430 lbs. of food, which was then given to local community food banks and pantries. Your food contributions will provide lots of meals throughout the year to support those who most need it.
This was the 19th year of the letter carriers’ ‘Stamp Out Hunger' Food Drive across America.
While other community and state totals are still being counted, it’s estimated the annual postal food drive again collected over 70 million pounds of food to support the hungry in our communities. Last year’s drive collected a record 77.1 million pounds.
We appreciate out great community and postal customers for helping to stamp out the hunger. We also thank out letter carriers and postal employees, food drive volunteers, local food banks, sponsors and others, who helped make the food drive a success once again.
Rachel Bahm,
Postmaster
