Editor,
I attended the Polson Rural Fire District’s meeting last Wednesday, May 11. I was there to voice my opinion on the “crash tax,” and question the board’s liberal spending habits.
During the meeting the assistant fire chief, Pete Bishop, criticized some of us in the audience for opposing the board’s policies, also for writing letters to the editor regarding the Polson Rural Fire District board’s spending habits.
Since I live in America and am a taxpayer in the fire district, I believe I have every right to that freedom. I got the impression that Mr. Bishop does not think so.
