The Ronan tennis squad took on both Libby and Big Fork on the road this week, as the girls picked up the only victory of week, downing the Lady Loggers, 4-2. 

In girls singles, Amber Metzger defeated Kaya Hardgrove, 6-1, 6-1, while Aimee Freiberg delivered a shut-out performance, defeating Mariah Briskin 6-0, 6-0.

At Big Fork, the girls pickled up only one match, falling 6-1. The only victory was picked up when Seri Smith and Brianna Frank defeated Miranda Miller and Mariah Bradstreet, 6-2, 6-4.

In boys action, Ronan fell to Libby 5-2, as the only victories came in doubles. Tyler Anderson and Daniel Aylesworth defeated Ian Myslicki and Lane Luscher 6-1, 7-5, and Logan Soukkala and Channing Anderson took down Rob Hamilton and Josh Broderick, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6.

In singles, Alex Cislo of Libbyk defeated Kyle Yankey, 6-0, 6-1, while Jason Schnackenberg defeated Chase Allen, 6-1, 6-1.

It was much of the same as the team took on Big Fork, winning only two matches, both in doubles. Tyler Anderson and Daniel Aylesworth of Ronan took down Shane Parks and Kyle Campbell, 6-3, 6-4, while teammates Logan Sonkkala and Christian Anderson picked up another victory, winning 7-6 (4), 4-6, 11-9.

The Chiefs and Maidens will host a doubleheader against Libby and Corvallis on May 7.
