Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases July 1-7:
Kyla L. Mitchell, 18, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Travis L. Caverly, 21, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $585 with $400 suspended. Also, Caverly pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Alan Ray Largent, 41, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or greater, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 30 days in jail with 25 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.
Jacob Cody Reese, 25, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and fined $300 plus $85 in court costs.
Ronald Lee Phillips, 47, pleaded guilty to operating with expired registration, failure to re-register. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Phillips also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, second offense. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs. If Phillips can provide proof of six months continuous insurance, the two days of jail time will be waived.
