BOZEMAN — Arlee proved today who the real Warriors are. Rocky Lewis led his team to a 63-53 victory over the defending state champion Fairview Warriors in a state quarterfinal Thursday afternoon, snapping the Eastern C Warriors’ 41-game winning streak.
Christian Haynes totaled 15 rebounds, and Josh Reed added seven. Point guard Zack Camel put up 16 points and led the Arlee Warriors in assists and steals with five each. Arlee outscored Fairview in every quarter but the second, shooting 43 percent in field-goal range and 30.8 percent on 3-pointers.
Arlee next faces undefeated Roy-Winifred in Friday’s semifinal at 6:30 p.m. Roy-Winifred is this year’s only undefeated Class C Team left after the fall of Fairview.
