Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases from Aug. 19 - Aug. 25:
Cody Joseph Alt, 23, pleaded guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days. He was found guilty and fined $95.
Conan Xavier Armantrout, 41, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. The court’s disposition was no contest, and Armantrout was fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Michael Shane Smith, 19, pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Teresa Martin Kimmet, 59, pleaded guilty to careless driving. She was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Teresa Marie Chalmers, 33, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, second offense. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Dillen L. Johnson, 19, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Eric Jay Minton, 32, pleaded guilty to driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Cole Andrew Whitmoyer, 24, pleaded guilty to improper passing in a no-passing zone. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Clemie Jolene Martin, 45, pleaded guilty to operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. She was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Martin also pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, third or subsequent offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 suspended, and fined $450 plus $35 in court costs. If Martin can provide proof of insurance for six continuous months on Feb. 24, 2012, jail time will be reduced to two days.
Verner James Rose, 29, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs. Rose also pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means, apparent damage over $500. He was found guilty and sentenced to 20 days in jail with all suspended and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs.
Nathan James West, 24, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. West also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 166 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.
