Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases during the week of Aug. 5 through Aug. 11:
James Kennedy Angell, 46, pleaded guilty to partner or family member assault, first offense. He was fined $300 plus $85 court costs and was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 362 days suspended and credited time of three days.
James Edward Bowen, 22, was found guilty of driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked, was fined $250 plus $35 court costs and was sentenced to 180 days in Lake County Jail with 178 days suspended.
Iver Stanley Kelsch, 50, pleaded not guilty to an amended plea of driving without a valid driver’s license and operating a vehicle without liability insurance in effect, second offense. Kelsch was found guilty of both offenses. For driving without a license, Kelsch was fined $250 plus $35 court costs and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with all suspended. For no liability insurance, Kelsch was fined $350 plus $35 court costs and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with all suspended.
Kyle Evan Lawson, 16, was found guilty of careless driving and was fined $50 plus $35 court costs.
