                Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases July 29 - Aug. 4:
Richard Lee McAfee, 29, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 173 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.
Christopher Alan Starratt, 44, pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 suspended, and credited for 12 hours served on Aug. 1. Starratt was also fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.
Russell Edward Geidl, 73, was found guilty of speeding. He was fined $30 plus $35 in court costs.
April M. Hanks, 37, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance, second offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs. If Hanks provided six months of continuous insurance coverage on Jan. 29, 2012, her jail time will be waived.
Joshua Dane Cook, 27, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs, marijuana, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs. Cook also pleaded guilty to criminal possession of drug parphernalia. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs. Additionally, Cook pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with 8 suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Leonard Sackett Jennison, 36, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. If Jennison provided proof of a valid driver’s license by August 8, his jail time would be waived.
