Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases July 22-28:
Shane Jeramiah Marcus, 26, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
If Marcus provided proof of six months continuous insurance coverage by Aug. 17, the jail time will be waived.
Bruce Wayne Altman, 47, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs.
Teresa Arlen Shears, 39, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, third or subsequent offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 suspended, and fined $450 plus $35 in court costs. If she provides proof of insurance by August 27 and six months continuous coverage, jail will be reduced to two days, and credited for two days completed July 29.
Chanel J. Roberts, 19, pleaded guilty to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $100 plus $85 in court costs.
Levi Jordan Parrish, 21, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs. Parrish also pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Benjamin Edwin Koenig, 25, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs. If he can provide proof of six months continuous insurance coverage by January 1, 2012, then jail time will be waived.
Chance Robert Firestone, 20, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended. Firestone completed the jail time on July 26. He was also fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Roland Alajos Godan, 49, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and credited for one day served. Godan was also fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Rainee M. Vassar, 18, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 suspended, and credited with one day completed. Vassar was also fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
