Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following case Wednesday, July 27:
Dennis Michael Gillingham, 70, Arlee, pleaded not guilty to incest, a felony. He remains at liberty. An omnibus hearing is set for Wednesday, Oct. 19 and a jury trial for Dec. 5, both at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, charges stem from more than 30 incidences between 1998 to 2007 when Gillingham allegedly had sexual contact with his now 16-year-old grandchild while he babysat her. The abuse allegedly began when she was 3 years old.
The young girl recently told her parents, and items found in Gillingham’s residence were consistent with her recollection of events.
