PABLO — KSKC Public TV is sponsoring a Golf Scramble on July 14 at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo with shotgun starts at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the operational costs for the nonprofit public television station. Teams can sign up at the Silver Fox or call 675-PUTT (7888) for more information. Lots of great prizes are offered as well as a free lunch for participants.
The $200 per four-person team entry fee includes coffee, water, cart and green fees. S&K Electronics is again the major sponsor of the event. KSKC provides three channels to over-the-air viewers in the area: 27.1 is high definition PBS programs; 27.2 is a mix of local and PBS programs; and 27.3 is continuous weather from the National Weather Service and local messages.
KSKC receives no federal, state or county operational support. Viewer contributions, underwriting, support from Salish Kootenai College, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and fundraisers like the golf scramble are key to continued operation of the station. KSKC will celebrate 25 years of operation in 2013.
