POLSON — Volunteers at the North Lake County Public Library got a pleasant surprise on Wednesday morning — free breakfast and recognition for their volunteerism.
About 36 volunteers and representatives of local entities showed up at 8:30 a.m.
“There are so many people who do so much for the library,” said Marilyn Trosper, head librarian.
As well as individuals who donate time on a regular basis, First Interstate Bank and Glacier Bank supported the library with involvement in their Play and Learn Grant, according to Mary O’Brian, librarian. Showboat Theatres helped the library obtain a popcorn machine and showed librarians how to operate the popper as well as donating theatre tickets to the Summer Reading Program each year. Other groups who helped the library out were the Greater Polson Community Foundation, Western States Insurance, Friends of the Library, the Library Foundation and the NLCL board of trustees.
