HAMILTON — The Polson Pirates had no problem stopping the Broncs’ charge on Friday, winning their first away game 40-12.
Colton Lenz tallied 123 rushing yards and three touchdowns for the Pirates, while Eric Williamson turned in six tackles and three sacks to lead the Polson defense.
Will Davey returned an interception for a touchdown.
“Offensively we ran for 288 yards on the ground — much better control of tempo from week one,” noted head coach Scott Wilson. “Hopefully we will continue to improve on both sides of the ball.”
Polson will play in Anaconda Friday.
