The Polson boys hoopsters saw a disappointing end to their winter break when the visiting Loyola Rams scored a 57-54 victory over the Pirates.
Riley Sampson led his team with 22 points, followed by Cedric Smith with 14. Sampson also pulled down an impressive 19 rebounds.
Despite outscoring the Rams 21-10 in the second quarter, the Pirates found themselves in swampy seas in the second half, outscored by the Rams 14-12 in the third and 19-11 in the final frame.
Polson traveled to Corvallis Tuesday and will head to Libby on Saturday.
