PABLO — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed 48-year-old Mission Valley resident William Harvey Flesch died as a result of suicide by hanging.
Two children discovered Flesch in an undeveloped wooded area in Pablo on Nov. 3 shortly after 10:30 a.m.
The scene was processed by law enforcement officers and Flesch’s remains were transported to the state crime lab in Missoula for identification.
The remains were identified by dental records.
According to a press release, Flesch was reported missing in July. At the time, law enforcement officials believed he had left the area.
Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin said he has no reason to suspect foul play and that the death has been classified as a suicide.
Yonkin said a toxicology screening was not performed due to the condition of the remains.
