ARLEE — The Arlee Warriors kicked off wrestling season Dec. 6 with a home mixer against Deer Lodge, Noxon and Florence.
“No team scores were kept, but some good wrestling was had by all,” coach Ken Hill said.
At 130 pounds, sophomore Dan Dunlop won three matches, pinning Deer Lodge’s Sheldon Danforth in 3:43 and Dylan Roselles in 1:36, and winning by decision, 15-0, over Noxon’s Will Wood. Senior Austin Rubel, at 145 pounds, also won all three of his matches. He pinned Florence’s Jace Pancake in 1:22, Deer Lodge’s Jacob Duerr in 1:35, and won by decision, 18-1, over Tristen Huff of Deer Lodge.
The Warriors travel to Eureka Friday for a weekend mixer.
