POLSON — The intent of the P.E.O. Chapter CA is to help our local community during the holiday season and so chapter members voted to give new clothing to Cherry Valley and Linderman Schools instead of buying gifts for each other. The school nurses gave a list of emergency items to Ramona Mahoney and Janice Donovan, the cochairs of the fundraising committee, who are shown purchasing shoes, snow pants, snow boots, sweatpants, sweatshirts, underwear, hats, gloves and socks for the elementary school children. After the delivery to the schools, administrators, nurses, counselors and teachers expressed gratitude for the much-needed clothing.
