Community invited to ‘Take Back the Power’ powerlifting event on July 19

POLSON — Polson High School is hosting the USPA “Take Back the Power” event on Saturday, July 19. Powerlifting is more than just a competition involving three tests of strength (squat, bench, deadlift). Events get underway at 9 a.m. and continues into the afternoon. Cost is $15 at the door or $5 for students with I.D.
This event is organized by Scott Sciaretta, a retired drug detective for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office who holds powerlifting records at the state, national and international levels.
