RONAN — It’s time to celebrate the official arrival of summer at the 2025 Summer Solstice Festival and Brewfest on June 21 at the Ronan Fairgrounds. For the third year in a row, the Ronan Chamber of Commerce is hosting this family-friendly event with a theme of Brews, Bites, and Beats. “We are so excited for the Summer Solstice Festival”, said Ronan Chamber of Commerce President Katie Elliott. “It is a great way to connect with friends, enjoy outstanding music, and sample brews from across the region.”
The festival this year will include musicians Justin Harris & Pocket Aces, Joe Martinez, Current Flow, and Coleton Sherman. “Every year we continue to partner with incredible musicians,” Elliott said. “Live music is the perfect way to enjoy the summer with the breathtaking beauty of the Mission Mountains as a background.” Justin Harris and the Pocket Aces bring a mixture of swinging rockabilly, country, and classic rock n roll at every performance. Singer and song writer Joe Martinez tells interesting stories through country and blues music, reflecting his life growing up in Montana. Based out of Idaho, Current Flow is a band that combines musical genres, including rock, funk, blues, and mountain reggae. Highlighting local musicians is another festival tradition. For 2025, Coleton Sherman of the Mission Valley will be taking the stage to share his powerful singing. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear this mixture of music from such talented artists,” Elliott said. “They have distinct styles that will entertain and uplift the audience.” Along with a full schedule of music, the Summer Solstice Festival and Brewfest will have a diverse sample of beer from breweries throughout Montana.
“Whether you prefer an IPA or a stout, there is the perfect beer for every palate,” Elliott said. “For those who are unsure of how different craft beers taste, this is the idea place for discovering what you like.” A variety of food trucks will be present, selling their goods to feed all those in attendance. “We couldn’t do this without the support of the Ronan Fairgrounds, the City of Ronan, and all our Ronan Chamber of Commerce businesses,” Elliott said. “The volunteers are also a big part of our success.” Tickets for the Brewfest to sample brews and listen to music cost $45. If someone doesn’t wish to taste the beer but wants to have a great day of music, it is only $10. “I like to think of it as a win-win for everyone because if you enjoy a good beer, you will be in heaven,” Elliott explained. “And if beer is not your thing, where can you go and listen to four different musical acts at a gorgeous outdoor venue for only $10?”
From its inception, the Ronan Chamber of Commerce has sought to provide a safe, family-friendly event at a reasonable cost. “This is small town American at its best,” Elliott added. “A low-key day for people to gather, visit, have a bite, sample a beverage, listen to music, and remember that life under the Big Sky is truly beautiful.” The Summer Solstice Festival kicks off at 2 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. To get tickets, go to https://montanabrewfest.com.
