POLSON - We must thank the volunteer drivers, the “old timers” and the “rookies”, who have stepped up to the plate, so to speak.  We have added a fifth route due to the higher volume of meals delivered to the needy.  Our recent survey of client satisfaction is being conducted, and we will publish our findings as soon as possible.

Board meeting 10:30 a.m. Friday the 13th. All are welcome. The agenda includes the search for additional board members. Can you volunteer? Lack of refreshing leadership may lead to the dissolution of our organization.

Saturday the 14th is Flag Day. It is not an official federal holiday.  The mail will still be delivered. On Aug. 3, 1949, Congress approved setting June 14 as Flag Day and Harry Truman signed it into law. Display the flag; a little one decorating your window or a big one in your yard.

Although we are currently in good standing with the Council on Aging, the federal government is considering cutting nutrition budgets from schools, meals on wheels, senior citizens centers, food assistance programs, etc.  Help us.
