News from P.E.O. Chapter AI
POLSON — P.E.O. Marguerite daisies were in full bloom as they were presented to Olivia Jore and Alyssa Orien (not present) for the $1,000 each, Chapter AI Memorial Scholarship on Senior Signing Day at Polson High School.
P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization that promotes the education of women worldwide. This is accomplished through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and the stewardship of Cottey College. Although P.E.O. is an international organization, the scholarship comes from Chapter AI, a Polson chapter that has a designated fund to award local young women pursuing higher education. This Memorial Scholarship honors Myrtle Sweet, Faye Harris, Doris Herbert and Sarah Jane Hanson, past members of Chapter AI who bequeathed funds to help local women achieve their highest aspirations.
