LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC) is excited to announce the winner of the 2025 Ken Rohrenbach Scholarship: Lauryn Buhr. Lauryn is a senior at Ronan High School and has been involved in National Honor Society, 4-H mentoring, Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA), and the Link peer leadership program. She is also a student athlete and has competed in volleyball, basketball and track. She plans to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona to study nursing.
The $1,000 scholarship for a graduating high school senior from Lake County is named after the late Ken Rohrenbach. Ken worked for the Montana Job Service, served on the Polson School Board for 17 years, was a volunteer firefighter, and an ardent supporter of all school activities. The Ken Rohrenbach Scholarship honors students that have shown community involvement, determination, and have overcome adversity.
