Editor,
The Orton Family Foundation website (for those not Internet-challenged) holds a treasure trove of delightful, insightful information that goes beyond the little Vermont, red-flannel-pajama-selling, mom-and-pop country store, which is also headquartered in Denver, Colo.
It seems the center of attention in the “grant program,” as stated by the Envision Polson representatives during their rousing speech to the city council, is the “Heart and Soul,” program which appears to revolve around a concept of “Storytelling” — well, their version of it, anyway.
Searching the Orton website for “Storytelling” unearthed some interesting points or issues (assuming you have a value system that has not been corrupted) that need to see the light of day in the Mission Valley — especially since their vision and core tools are to make success stories of technique and substance readily available, and encouraged, to all Grant Partners across the country. What I found, through the Orton Family Foundation’s (Heart and Soul) storytelling workshop, is the children will now be conditioned to learn: How to cope with the loss of their families property. How to cope with letting go of memories from their past. To accept relocation for the good of the community. Property ownership, big houses, being rich, rich friends, and individualism is bad. Global equality is best.
Is anyone else bothered by this information being disseminated throughout our valley and communities, especially to our children? It appears that due diligence is no longer required when partnering with the devil you don’t know; just take that “free grant money and run,” no strings attached.
Was the “Cone of Silence” lowered over the Polson City Council prior to their rubber stamp vote for this wonderfully exciting grant?

“Discovery” can be an ugly word, I guess, but intentional manipulation to degrade one’s values goes one step further. Folks, we need to get a grip on the foreign incursion into our valley, via more avenues than we’re keeping track of, currently.
