POLSON – The Polson Chamber of Commerce 2012 awards banquet was held Friday, Nov. 2, at the Kwataqnuk Resort. The evening included a cocktail hour, dinner and an awards presentation, followed by music and dancing. The event was sold out this year, with more than 210 in attendance.
Robin Wallace, banquet coordinator, was pleased with the turnout, saying “We were thrilled to have so many people join us for the event this year. We are glad to have the opportunity to highlight the many great businesses and individuals in our community.”
In addition to six chamber awards that are given each year, we also had the opportunity to have the City of Polson honor a city employee of the year, and the school district gave away teachers of the year and staff of the year awards, as well. (See below for all award winners.)
The theme for this year’s banquet was “Celebrating our Businesses and our Community.” Although we recognize that there have been many challenges for our community this past year, there are also many things to celebrate. We highlighted some milestone anniversaries, including Polson Family Chiropractic, 20 years; Crow’s Next Gallery, 40 years; and Richwine’s Burgerville, 50 years. We celebrated receiving the state’s top billing for “Montana’s Most Friendly Business City.” And we celebrated the many people, businesses, and organizations within our community who continue to make it a great place to live and work.
