Editor,
Have you noticed that property owners along Highway 93 through Polson are keeping those strips of grass neatly mowed and the shrubbery cared for? And thanks to Mayor Pat and her husband Dennis Devries, the traffic island at the intersection of Highways 93 and 35 is now clean and tidy because they worked a couple of hours recently pulling out and hauling away all of the invasive plants.
Volunteers are helping keep the bump-outs along Main Street dead-headed and weed free. The hanging baskets are gorgeous, and more business owners are caring for planters and window boxes.
These efforts are welcoming to our visitors and clearly reflect the pride we have in our community. Keep up the good work.
