I want to apologize to Senator Mowbray and her supporters for my May 23rd letter regarding the Senate District 6 race and an agreement I thought she had worked out with Representative Taylor, which turned out to be something that they talked about but never completed.
Why the Lake County commissioners rejected a four-time elected state house representative for the vacant Senate district 6 seat, and instead picked a relative political neophyte, as far as state legislative experience goes, is another question.
At any rate I went out on a long limb and Senator Mowbray sawed it off gently and with grace, and I thank her for that.
