I am writing this letter in deep appreciation for all of the support of my son, Donovan Chase McDonald, as he raises funds to travel to Australia for an international cross country meet this summer. We raised approximately $2,000 from the spaghetti dinner, live and silent auction and the 50/50 raffle. The raffle winner was Chasidy Haynes of Arlee, who took home $180. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for that.
I have learned through this process that the people of the Jocko and Mission Valleys are very generous people. I will gladly repay the heart you have shown for my son. Please let me know if you need help with your organization in the future.
There are so, so many people that I wish to name, but as space allows, I am limited to just thanking the communities of Arlee, St. Ignatius, Ronan and the Flathead Reservation in general. I don’t mean to dismiss any of the donations, time, effort, caring and so forth that you all have shown to my son. I hope he does you all proud, and please cheer him on. I will keep everyone updated on a blog on arleemontana.org if you would like to follow the young runner from Arlee.

It looks as though Donovan will be on that plane after all, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We still have money to raise, but we did have a very successful auction and we are close.
