Editor,
With the sun out this weekend, it was hard not to notice that big yellow building on the west side of Hwy. 93 heading into Polson. Well, that’s just the gift-wrapping of the Mission Valley Aquatics building. It is well on its way. When you go up to it and look inside, you will see just how big a facility it is. It is quite impressive.
Now, to the point of this letter: the building construction is going much faster than the pledges, gifts and financing currently in place. This is not just a pool for Polson, but for the whole of Lake County. We need more funding to complete the pool by August. The warm water therapy pool was added as the construction started after many people expressed a deep desire for the therapy pool. It will be an added cost to the project, but a worthwhile one not just for older folks, but for people of all ages. If you would like to get a look at the amazing scope of this facility, you can enjoy a Google Earth video tour online at www.youtube.com. Just search for Mission Valley Aquatic Center.
For monthly updates from Mission Valley Aquatics, send us an email at mvaquatics@polson.net or call the office at 883-4567.
We are so very close to completion that we do not want to delay the “water in the pool.”
So please, if at all possible, send in a pledge or a check to help the pool get finished on time. Tana or Sharon can help you out with your donations.
All of us at MVA have worked so hard, and we can see the finish line, but we need your help.
