DRUMMOND — The Charlo Vikings finished their regular season Friday night with a 50-16 win over the Drummond Trojans.
According to MaxPreps.com, a CBS Sports website, Drummond was ranked 11th in the state prior to last week’s game. The win boosted the Viking’s standing to fifth place in the state and 134th in the nation.
During the 2012 season, the Charlo Vikings earned just shy of 4,000 offensive yards on 377 attempts. That means on the season, as a team, the Vikings gained nearly 11 yards per offensive play.
On defense, the Vikings racked up 660 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 21 interceptions and six forced fumbles. In addition, the defense allowed only 162 points to be scored while the offense scored 480 — an average score on the season of 53-18.
Charlo will play the Great Falls Central Mustangs in the first round of playoffs at home Oct. 27.
