ARLEE — In a nonconference matchup with the neighboring Mission Lady Bulldogs, the Arlee Scarlets lost 25-22, 25-19, 25-23, 25-10.
“My bench went in and did as I expected when I needed them,” coach Brian BigSam said.
But the Scarlets couldn’t quite find their rhythm and were plagued by errors.
“We had a very off night,” BigSam said.
Mahalia Hendren led her team in aces with seven, kills with 11 and blocks with two. Skyla Perry had 11 of the team’s 41 digs, and Bailey Rice wasn’t far behind with nine. Whitney Malatare also had two blocks to tie with Hendren, while Rice led in assists with six.
The Scarlets played Mission again Tuesday before a string of home games starting with Drummond on Thursday.
