FRENCHTOWN — The Polson Pirates busted the Frenchtown Broncs 36-6 Friday night, putting the Pirates one game away from repeating as conference champs.
“Both sides of the ball played great,” head coach Scott Wilson said. “Offensively, we compiled 317 yards rushing and 101 yards passing.”
For the Pirate defense, Beau Mills had 14 tackles; while Ian Ricketts and Sam Kinzle had eight apiece.
On offense, running back Will Davey had five rushes for 84 yards and a touchdown, as well as two receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Drew Kvam had 6 rushes for 106 yards and a touchdown, and fullback Colton Lenz had 10 rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown.
The Pirates travel to Libby on Friday for their last conference game. If they’re victorious over the Loggers, they’ll bring the conference title home to Polson once again.
