Editor,
The staff at The People’s Center Museum and Gift Shop wishes to thank many people for the success of our Annual Native American Awareness Days held Sept. 20-22 here. You gave of your time and expertise to help teach and share a part of Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Kootenai history and culture with the children that attended. We could not have done it without each of you, your programs and departments that allowed you to be here and take time away from your job for this very important educational event. Thank you to all the schools that sent your children and teachers and Potlatch Fund for funding the week's events. We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all the people who attended and helped with our 20-year celebration Sept. 24: drummers, singers, dancers, the Veteran Warriors Society, fry bread contestants and judges, stick game players, visitors, vendors, local newspaper reporters and all those that helped clean up.
We appreciate every one of you; if we missed you, it was not intentional.
