RONAN – The Maidens continue to struggle as they fell to Mission, Arlee and Deer Lodge this week. On Tuesday, the Maidens hosted Mission, where the Bulldogs swept Ronan 3-0 in 25-13, 25-13, 25-20.
Alaina Madsen led the Maidens with six kills and two blocks, while Ashleigh Lynch added eight digs and six aces. Bethany Colman added six assists.
Stephanie Lewandowski led Mission with 13 digs, while Loren Erickson added 13 assists.
On Thursday, the Maidens hosted Arlee at home, where the Scarlets pulled out wins of 25-10, 25-17, 25-11 to sweep the Maidens 3-0.
Madsen led Ronan with 12 digs and two aces, while Ashleigh Lynch added five kills.
Payge DeLaurenti finished with eight assists, while Darian Blixt-Leo had four blocks.
For the Scarlets, Mahalia Hendren led her team with 13 kills and five blocks, while Cortney Dix added 22 assists and four aces. Arlee’s Bailey Rice finished with 13 digs.
Ronan tried to improve on a tough week on Saturday when they traveled to Deer Lodge. But the Wardens locked up Ronan early on with a 25-23 win, and then pulled out wins of 25-7 and 25-18 to earn the 3-0 sweep over the Maidens.
Lynch led Ronan with 15 digs, while Madsen added 3 kills. Lindsay Clairmont had all of the Maidens’ assists, collecting eight.
For the Wardens, Marissa McKee collected three digs and four aces.
The Maidens will play Deer Lodge again on Tuesday for the district tournament play-in match at Deer Lodge at 7 p.m.
