Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases June 15-21:
Leroy Francis Toupe, 30, pleaded guilty to partner or family member assault, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail, 360 suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs. He will receive credit for time served while in custody.
John Trevithick, 43, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail, 349 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs. Trevithick also pleaded not guilty to a second amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail, 349 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.
David Whaley, 29, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty , sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. If he provides proof of a valid driver’s license, two days of jail time will be waived.
Drew Alex Wendt, 32, pleaded no contest to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, third or subsequent offense. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 175 suspended, and fined $450 plus $35 in court costs. If he provides proof of six months’ continuous insurance by July 13, jail time will be reduced to two days.
Donald Isador Mitchell, 28, pleaded not guilty to failure to notify department of change of address. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Arthur Lance Dunkerson, 39, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of partner or family member assault, second offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail, 330 suspended, and fined $300 plus $85 in court costs. He will receive credit for 35 days served.
Dominick Buccelli, 19, pleaded not guilty to possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21 (over age 18), second offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $85 in court costs.
Cody Ray Mcfarlin, 21, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed. He was found guilty and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs.
Samuel James Friesz, 32, pleaded guilty to a right-of-way violation, failure to yield to approaching traffic (immediate hazard) when making a left turn. He was found guilty, fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Travis Eric Swenson, 24, pleaded guilty to obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs. Swenson also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. He was found guilty and fined $50.
Ryle A. Benke, 28, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
