POLSON – The undefeated Polson Pirates (3-0) continue their Class A dominance as the fifth-ranked Pirate’s downed Southwestern A Anaconda in a strong performance, 44-0.
Polson’s defense was relentless, forcing three turnovers, including a 60-yard fumble recovery by Paul McClurg brought in for a touchdown. The Pirates held the Copperheads to a mere 50 yards of total offense, as Polson racked up 246 yards of total offense.
Senior quarterback Vince DiGiallonardo led the Pirate offense, completing 4 of 10 passes for 110 yards, including a touchdown, and 11 carries for 61 yards and another three touchdowns on the ground.
