My company West|280, Inc. recently setup our manufacturing, assembly and order fulfillment in Manhattan, Mont. We design and manufacture the West|280 iOpener, a protective case for the Apple iPhone with a companion app called BevConX. I received a message from one of my MSU alumni who filled me in on the fantastic success of the Ronan High School robotics team. As a company we design, engineer, manufacture and package our products on our own.
All these processes require a number of talented people with skills in engineering, CAD, quality assurance testing, finance, marketing, materials and more.
Robtics teams like the one at Ronan High School are not only teaching the skills that our future team members will need, they are also instilling a spirit of curiosity and passion for problem solving, science, mechanics and competition. These traits are critical to developing entrepreneurs who will invent new products and technology and build more new businesses in Montana.
West|280, Inc. has eagerly extended our support to the Ronan High School robotics team to help them get to the national chamionships and we encourage every business in Montana to offer their support. Interested businesses can contact Jesse Gray at the robotics team to offer donations toward travel expenses, purchase raffle tickets, attend their fundraiser dinner or contribute products and services that can be auctioned off to raise much needed funds.
