LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Conservation District welcomes spring with Pollinator Week, April 2-11. In addition to giving away free pollinator seed mixes made specifically for Lake County, the organizations is hosting an online scavenger hunt with prizes, a site prep workshop, trivia nights at local breweries, and free showings of “The Pollinators,” a documentary about bees.
Here’s the schedule:
All Week Long
Free nightly showings of “The Pollinators,” at 7 p.m. April 2-10 at the Showboat Cinema in Polson. A Q&A with beekeeper, filmmaker and director Peter Nelson follows the screening on Saturday, April 10, and may be watched in person or via Facebook.
The Pollinator Scavenger Hunt: A fun, socially distanced activity that offers an opportunity to learn more about pollinators. All participants are entered to win a free pollinator plot instillation. Sign up at lakecountyconservationdistrict.org/pollinator-scavenger-hunt/.
Wednesday, April 7
Small Plot Grab and Go, 4-5:30 p.m. at Glacier Brewing Company: Pick up a free packet of pollinator seeds.
Pollinator Trivia Take Over, 6 p.m. at the Ronan Cooperative Brewery: Learn more about pollinators and pollinator plantings.
Thursday, April 8:
Pollinator Seed Grab and Go, 12-4 p.m. at the Lake County Conservation District office in Ronan: pick up a free packet of pollinator seeds.
Friday, April 9:
Pollinator Seed Grab and Go, 12-4 p.m. at the Flathead Lakers office in Polson: pick up a free packet of free pollinator seeds.
