DuMont leads Ronan at home mixer

RONAN – Chiefs grappler Brandon DuMont (125) led his team with two victories at the Chiefs' first home mixer of the season last week. He defeated Dylan Roselles in a 9-3 decision and pinned Roselles a second time in an 11-1 decision.
Superior, Deer Lodge and Plains all competed in the meet. Plains grappler Kris Beech also picked up a pair of wins at the meet, defeating Ronan’s Quentin Denton by pin in 53 seconds, and a 1-0 decision over Dustin Goldsby.
Chase Rhine defeated Conner Rodgers of Deer Lodge in a 14-9 decision. In the 135-pound category, Mylan Caye pinned Plains’ Jeff Richards in 4:37.
Shelby Grant picked up a win over Tyler Wharry of Superior, pinning him in 20 seconds, while Colby Robers (189) pinned Colter Lowery in only 14 seconds.
Michael Irvine (215), Timber Schauss (HWT), Josiah Edington (171) and Michael Knabe (160) also picked up wins over their opponents at the mixer.
The Chiefs’ next meet will be Jan. 3 at Drummond, which will be a quad match.
