POLSON — We are lucky to live in a small town in a state with a small population. Friends and family in big population areas are having problems getting vaccinated - no matter their age. Take any opportunity to get vaccinated.
As usual, we cannot guarantee your safety from COVID at the Polson Senior Center, so use your best judgment before participating in activities and meals.
No AARP Driving Classes will take place before Sept. 1. You can still take the course online at AARP. Clara Sipe, who has taught the class for over 35 years, has received Outstanding Instructor Awards from the State of Montana and National AARP, plus a Distinguished Service Pin in 2020-21.
Activities: AARP/IRS-sponsored free tax preparation is in full swing - call the center for an appointment; exercise class is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.; mahjong – Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.; pinochle - Thursday, 12:30 p.m.; bingo – Friday, 7 p.m.; veterans’ representative Friday, April 2, 10 a.m.-noon.
Lunch is served at the center, available for take-out, or home-delivered Monday-Friday from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. If you are a new client, call to make arrangements for payment.

— Wednesday, March 24: chicken salad on lettuce, tater wedges, pickled beets, orange salad, red velvet cake
— Thursday, March 25: chili dog with onion, cheese, sauerkraut, Watergate salad, banana pudding
— Friday, March 26: roast turkey, dressing, green beans, pretzel salad, birthday cake
— Monday, March 29: turkey-rice soup, muffin, corn salad, pudding
— Tuesday, March 30: sloppy Joe on bun, tots, corn, green salad, peanut butter cookie
— Wednesday, March 31: meatloaf, baked potato, creamed peas, pear-cheese salad, spice cake
We are always looking for home-delivery drivers, so get off the couch and volunteer.
