News from the North Lake County Public Library
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library’s new regular, year-round hours start Monday, March 8: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We are reserving Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. for those 65 and older and those who are immunocompromised. Masks are required and we are still asking that you limit your time in the building to no more than 30 minutes. The library meeting room will reopen and be available for public use starting April 1. Restrictions include a limit of 15 people with social distancing, no communal food or beverage, and availability is during business hours only. Masks are required to be worn. We will start taking reservations on Monday, March 15. Montana Library2Go now has magazines. Hundreds of magazines in electronic format are now available to you with just your library card. You can check out and download current and back issues via the Libby app or in a browser. The “Magazine Stand” collection highlights 130 of the collections most popular magazines:

The tax forms and booklets for 2020 have arrived at the library. These are available in the building or through curbside delivery. As a reminder, the State of Montana does not send out any paper forms or booklets. You can print State of Montana forms at the library or file online.
On Tuesday, April 20, at 7 p.m., we will have author Leslie Budewitz return for a book reading and Q & A session via Zoom. Leslie will be debuting her first suspense novel written under the name of Alicia Beckman. “Bitterroot Lake” will be released April 13, 2021, from Crooked Lane Books. Put this event on your calendar now and watch for more details to come.
The Partners Sharing Group is exploring ways of increasing the availability of new materials to patrons and making hold fulfillment more efficient. Some new items may be marked for “local holds only” before becoming available to readers at all libraries. As we move through this process, we will provide an opportunity for feedback on your experience browsing the collection and placing holds.
