The Ronan Speech and Drama team soared this past weekend at its first and only home tournament of the year, securing first place overall. The Chiefs and Maidens earned 69 points and won their fifth invitational tournament of the season at home on Saturday. The team’s first-place finish was due to several strong individual finishes.
Sophomores Ethen Sheumaker and Bradly Findly earned fourth place, while teammates Thomas Oschmann and Tyrel Miller took sixth place in Humorous Duo Acting. Senior Andrew Crenshaw secured fifth place in Serious Solo Acting, while senior Amber Metzger placed first in Pantomime.
Serious Duo Acting partners Andrew Crenshaw and Junior Alejandra Phelan placed first in Serious Duo Acting. Freshman Shelby Benson and Phelan placed first in Classical Duo Acting.
Ronan also took first in the drama sweeps in Class B-C.
The team competes in Gardiner next week at the B-C Southern Divisional Tournament.
