ST. IGNATIUS — The Mission girls’ basketball team lost two hard battles on Jan. 3 and 7 against Bigfork and Loyola.

The Bigfork Vals were in front at the half 25-14, and though Mission surged back late in the third, the Lady Bulldogs lost 50-36. Stephanie Lewandowski paced Mission with nine points.

Against the Breakers, Kiernan Haggarty outscored all with 14 points to lift Loyola over Mission 54-30. Lewandowski once again led Mission with 11 points.

The Lady Bulldogs are now 0-3 in conference play and 0-7 for the season. They face Ronan on Tuesday and Troy on Saturday at home.
