PABLO — Charred wood and crumpled metal are all that remain of two uninhabited mobile homes destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.
At about 1:45 a.m., the Ronan Fire Department received a call concerning a report that multiple structures were on fire at the corner of Division Street and Old U.S. Highway 93. Ronan fire chief Chris Adler said two mobile homes were fully engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed on one by the time firefighting crews arrived on scene.
Mutual aid from Polson Rural Fire, Ronan Ambulance, Tribal Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
Firefighters were on scene for about three hours, and no injuries were reported.
The Ronan Fire Department served as the lead investigating agency and continues to work on sorting out evidence to determine the cause of the blaze.
