Editor,

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, while working at my computer, I heard a pop and lost power. We called a couple of neighbors and they both had electricity. I then called Mission Valley Power and talked with, if I remember correctly, Josie.

She was extraordinarily helpful with a very positive and uplifting attitude. She asked about the meter and stayed on the line as I walked out to check. She apparently talked with a maintenance person, and then, she called back to let me know that maintenance would be out to see what could be done to get our power back.

I went back to the house to wait while thinking about cleaning a chimney and the possibility of frozen waterpipes. In a very short time, I saw an MVP truck coming down our driveway. I met him at the power pole, and he identified and fixed the problem immediately. He reset a breaker for me when I could not and also recommended an update for our breaker box at the meter. I do not know the exact time it took, but I am sure it was less than an hour from my phone call to MVP until our power was back on.

Thank You Mission Valley Power for your quick and professional service.
