Scavenger hunt comes to Polson on Small Business Saturday

POLSON — The Chamber of Commerce and Polson Business Community have joined forces to launch the Find Frosty’s Hat Scavenger Hunt, a community event designed to encourage people to shop locally this holiday season and help Frosty find his missing hat before the holidays officially arrive.
“Well, it came to our attention that our good friend Frosty the Snowman accidentally lost his hat during a recent visit to his favorite lakeside town,” said Chamber of Commerce director Ian Withrow. “Fortunately, the Chamber and PBC were able to locate a series of clues that will hopefully shed some light on the situation. But we’re going to need people to join in the search if we aim to track that hat down in time.”
For the past week, the Polson Chamber and PBC have been hard at work assembling those freshly found clues into the Find Frosty’s Hat Scavenger Hunt. Shoppers can participate in the scavenger hunt by picking up a scavenger hunt clue card from any participating business or the Chamber of Commerce Office.
In addition to Frosty’s clues, scavenger hunt clue cards include a complete list of rules, instructions and participating businesses. Participating businesses will also be announced on chamber social media accounts during Small Business Saturday.
To successfully complete the scavenger hunt, shoppers must obtain a receipt or proof of purchase from one of the businesses listed under each clue in the clue card’s answer key. This means that clue cards must be turned in with a minimum of four receipts to be considered successfully completed. Purchases can be made online or in-person, as long as proof of purchase is provided.
“This is meant to be a fun and festive way to bring a little joy to Polson,” said Withrow. “Whether people join in by shopping online or by masking up to shop in stores, we can support our incredible local businesses that mean so much to our town, while also ensuring our community stays safe. Let’s do all we can to make this holiday a happy and healthy one for all.”
The first 10 successfully completed clue cards that are turned in at the Chamber of Commerce Office will receive a prize package, courtesy of the Polson Business Community and Polson Chamber of Commerce.
The Find Frosty’s Hat Scavenger Hunt officially kicks off at the start of Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28. It will run until 10 successful clue cards have been returned for a prize.
