RONAN — The St. Ignatius Bulldogs ended their season with a 3-16 record after a loss to Ronan 46-27.
The game was a District 6-B play-in and the winner faced top-seeded Florence on Feb. 17 in Hamilton.
Bulldog senior Austin Durglo led the team with 10 points.
Ronan guard Carston Baertsch scored 12, including two of his team’s five 3-pointers. Edmond Dupuis added 10, including two 3-pointers, while Brady Oakland tallied nine and 10 rebounds. Mission’s lone 3-pointer was made by Paden Alexander.
Bulldog Dylan Evans gathered six rebounds.
The game started out even in the first quarter, ending 11-10 with Ronan on top.
But the Chiefs surged to a 15-6 pace in the second quarter to lead at halftime, 26-16.
The Chiefs topped the Bulldogs in the final quarters, 9-5 and 11-6, to remove Mission and earn a trip to Hamilton.
