I encourage Lake County voters in HD 93 to re-elect Joe Read. While Read will represent the will of voters, he must do so within constitutional boundaries as his oath dictates.
In the past legislative session, Read introduced several bills that would have reformed the criminal justice system that caused so many to be unjustly convicted. While they were not passed, it did cause the session to look into the matter, which the Law and Justice Interim Committee has been doing this past summer.
Read will stand up against politicians who believe they know best what to do with your money, which you desperately want to keep for your own family and business. Finally, Read will fight against the contradictory policy of promoting clean air and water, but, due to ill-advised forest management, allow wildfires to continually affect the clean air and water of this state. He will continue to promote proper forest management and fight those environmental policies that affect our clean air, water and forests.
A vote for Joe Read in HD 93 is a vote for restraints on the growth of government, criminal justice reform and proper forest management.
