News from the Mission Valley Youth Foundation, Festival of Trees
POLSON — It’s Festival time. Festival of Trees that is. This will be the festival’s 22nd year in Polson. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Dec. 5.
The festival generates funds for the Mission Valley Youth Foundation. This allows us the opportunity to serve a greater number of youth based organizations, programs and charities in the Mission Valley.
The Mission Valley Youth Foundation solicits applications from youth based non-profit programs within the Mission Valley. If you are a youth-based non-profit entity and would like to request funding, pick up an application form from one of our board members or submit an email to mvyouthfoundation@gmail.com. Please include your mission statement and a short description detailing your monetary request. Mission Valley Youth Foundation would also like the community to reach out to us with your suggestions of youth organizations that you’d like to see supported. The deadline for submission is Nov 2.
The Mission Valley Youth Foundation 2019 recipients were as follows: Boys and Girls Club, Friends Forever Mentoring, Lake County 4H Shooting Sports, Mission Valley FFA, Mission Valley Aquatics, Mission Valley FFA Fishing Club, Mission Valley Junior Golf Association, Mission Valley Mariners, New Life Student Ministry, Polson Booster Club, Polson Senior Graduation, Polson Ski Club, Polson Special Olympics, Ronan Choirs, Ronan High School Physical Education and Ronan Middle School Robotics.
Thank you for your continued support of the Festival of Trees and Mission Valley Youth Foundation.
Mission Valley Youth Foundation Board includes Brooke Ingram, Jamie Buhr, Roxanne Duckworth, Linda Fisher, Laura Burland, Trudy Pedersen, Michelle Shizuku and Brittany Cathey. Festival of Trees Committee includes Pam Carruth, Cecilly Grant, Bernadette Clave, Brandy Allison, Janie Bick and Angela Collins.
