The people of Montana House District 12 have a great candidate in Linda Reksten. I have known the Reksten family for several decades and their roots are deep in Polson and Lake County.
Reksten has had a long successful career in education. She ended her career as superintendent of schools in Butte and then in Polson. Being a superintendent requires the skills and temperament that make a great legislator, and working with diverse people to solve a myriad of problems can be a daily occurrence.
Balancing a school budget is not easily done, and Reksten has done that. That is a skill needed at the state level. Reksten has voiced concern about high property taxes and the need to help businesses succeed. With her superintendent experience, she will bring solutions to these and other issues.
I have served six sessions in the legislature and have vetted Linda Reksten. She has the tools to serve HD12 well and be a legislator that Polson/Lake County/Montana needs. Vote Linda Reksten on Nov. 3.
