CSKT, Lake County collaborate on road projects

FLATHEAD RESERVAION – In respect to the 2015 CSKT Road Safety Audit, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and Lake County joined into a state-tribal cooperative agreement for road and bridge construction and repair projects to occur.
During the 2019 season, Lake County collaborated with the Tribal Transportation Program Budget to install and/or replace over 900 signs on Lake County roads.
This year, another collaboration with Lake County is underway with the Mission Valley Guardrail installation and replacement project, and this project includes replacing guardrails, installing new guardrails, installing new object markers and signs at 17 various location within Lake County. Construction began on May 18 and will be completed by mid-August.
